Pin It and Make It Party!

How many of us have a ton of pins "pinned" and ready to complete, but never get to? I know that I do, but I kind of needed a nudge to get working. I decided having friends come over to work on our pins would be a fun party idea.

My original plan had us all bringing a project to do and all of us completing those projects. Only that would have been expensive and more time consuming for an evening. For the next party I plan to pick 1-2 pins and have us all bring something to complete the project. That is kind of how this party turned out anyway, and I liked that. We had a few projects going and could join in whichever we wanted to make. I only got pictures of the adorable Thanksgiving shirts we made, but others worked on headbands and a cloth book (also posted on our board).

We also all brought a recipe that we had pinned (ready to eat) and got to try some great food. I loved getting to see so many pins brought to life and learn from how others made it. We found that some of the pins did not live up to their hype, but I think each of the recipes we tried were good even if they weren't quite what we thought they'd be.

I had such a great time! It felt good to get a few CUTE pins completed (and to eat some yummy new recipes!), but it was even better to spend that time with friends. It wasn't an elaborate party. Food was on my counter and we worked on the floor, but it was so much fun that we already have plans to work on another pin this week! I also plan on hosting a "Pin It: Kid Party" as well where we pick a couple kid-friendly pins and let them work :)

If you want to follow our adventures, I will be posting the recipes and pins we attempt (or plan to attempt) on this Board.

  1. What a great idea for a party, I'm always pinning things but just never seem to get any done x

    1. I do the same thing. I loved how laid-back this was. We got projects completed but it was relaxing and fun :)

  2. What a fun idea! I've not thought about doing this for a party. But you're right - people are always adding to their pinteres boards and rarely getting the time to actually do them!

    1. I think the party was my hope to finally see my friends again :) I've been overwhelmed with the adjustment to working fulltime. :) It was nice to feel like I was accomplishing something for once rather than adding to my list of stuff to do :)
