Carmex Lip Conditioner- Review

One of the joys of winter are the chilly, snowy days. You can bundle up and enjoy how pretty and peaceful the world looks under a blanket of snow.

Until your heating bill goes up, the snow turns to slush (or even worse, is just rain or ice) and your skin starts to feel the effects of the heat and elements.

I battle chapped lips every year and am one person that always has some sort of lip balm at all times. So when I got the chance to review Carmex Lip Conditioner, I was so excited.

This is really different than other forms of Carmex. As a Carmex blogger, I've been able to try different formulas and have really liked how they help battle chapped and hurt lips. This isn't glossy and isn't like any lip balms I have tried. It really does feel like a conditioner. It helps soothe lips immediately and I've noticed them feeling softer longer (and I don't feel the need to constantly reapply). At the same time even though the results seem to last longer, I don't feel like I'm wearing anything at all.

I shared it with my friend Lisa and hope to hear how she likes it soon :)

Carmex Giveaway! Ends 8/14/12

Summer is almost over in my area (though the temperatures make me want to lounge poolside rather than buy school supplies!) BUT to celebrate fun and sun, Carmex® is hosting a giveaway for Frugal Teacher Mama readers!

I was given a kit with their Carmex® sticks, including their new Pomegranate stick! I was able to review their products before and the one complaint I had was that the taste wasn't great. I think they have improved upon this because the Pomegranate does not taste waxy or like medicine. I had a friend sample it while running a 5K and she LOVED it. Being a lipbalm addict, this was the best product for me to review. I like how long it lasts and how it adds a glossy finish without having to worry about tint or color.

Don't take my word for it- this is your chance to try it out! A Frugal Teacher Mama reader will with a Carmex® kit! The kit will feature six Carmex® sticks, each containing a SPF of 15 to protect your lips from the effects of the summer sun. It will also introduce you to the most recent addition to the Carmex® family - NEW Pomegranate stick!

Carmex Lotion- Review + Giveaway Ends 11/11

I am a part of the Carmex Blog Squad and because of that I get to try new products and host giveaways for my readers.

The latest products I got to try were a part of the Carmex Healing Lotion and Healing Cream collection.

With winter just around the corner, I know that I will get good use out of these! I've already had to turn the heat on and that coupled with hot showers has made my skin dry out already. I didn't even wait to read the letter before putting some of the Healing Lotion on. I liked the scent, it was nice but not overpowering. My skin liked the lotion, I was happy to see that the smooth feeling lasted a good amount of time. I use the Healing Cream at night and have really been impressed with the results.

I also loved that it came with travel sized lotions because I like to have some on me all the time (along with my lip balm- really Carmex was doing me a favor by letting me join them ;) ) and the smaller bottles make that so much easier.

Carmex is sponsoring a giveaway for my readers! One lucky winner will get a Gift Pack that includes:
  • 1 Carmex Healing Lotion
  • 1 Carmex Healing Cream
  • 1 Travel size Carmex Healing Lotion
  • 1 Travel size Carmex Healing Cream

Carmex review + giveaway ends 8/31

I am a part of the Carmex Blog Squad and part of that is getting to learn about, and sometimes try, new products. I put something on my lips almost compulsively (really, I do it right after snapping my seat belt), so I was so happy to get the chance to try a new product from Carmex for free. All opinions are my own.

Summer sun can be damaging to your skin, but many times people forget to protect their lips. I was sent a summer samping kit that had Carmex Lime Twist and Carmex Vanilla click sticks as well as an awesome picnic blanket. These are new flavors by Carmex that had 3 additional moisturizers that aren't in the other varieties. They are also SPF 15 so they would be a good addition to your beach bag!

I usually use Carmex the most in the winter, when heaters and icy wind really do a number on my lips, so I was interested in trying the new Carmex Lime Twist and Carmex Vanilla click sticks during the summer. I tried the Lime twist first and could feel it tingle when I put it on. It went on smoothly and provided a glossy finish. During the summer I try to keep a more "fresh" face, than an overly made up one and I liked how Carmex enhanced that easily. I also noticed that my lips were getting smoother the more often I used it.

The only downfall is the taste. Both varieties smell great when used, but do not taste the way they smell. I don't think this is a big problem though, since I generally don't eat my lip wear (it may actually be a good thing since my kids DO). I still liked using the product, and the taste did not make it unpleasant to use. This is also more of a gloss or cream than a balm, if you are more used to that texture.

To see the effect using Carmex Vanilla click sticks has, you can see these Before & After pictures:

Don't just take my word for it-  one lucky Frugal Teacher Mama reader will get a giftpack identical to mine!
